At the top of this screen is the Initials field.  Enter a brief identification code for this new operator that is no more than three characters long.  This code will be used in various other functions within ManStat to identify this particular user.  Then enter the full name of this new operator in the Fullname field that is located below the Initials field.

The Last Login field and the Last Password Change field will both be blank at this stage.  In future, these fields will display the date and time of when this operator last logged in and the date of when the password for this operator was last changed.

Below the Last Login date field is the Password field.  Clicking on the Change Password   button located next to the Password field will reveal the Change Password   screen, which can be used to give this operator a password.  For more information on how to use the Change Password   screen, please refer to the Help chapter entitled "Changing Your Password".

Below the Password field in the Add Operator   screen are the Default Activity Code field, the Default Access Function field and the Default Modify Function field.  When a History item is being entered, the operator entering the item can define the security function required by another operator to access or to modify this History item.  (A History item is a particular piece of communication that has been received from or sent to a contact.  For more information on History items, please refer to the Help chapter entitled "History".  Security functions are particular functions that can be accessed within ManStat.  By defining which functions can be used by a particular operator, it is possible to limit an operator's access throughout the ManStat system.  For more information on security functions, please refer to the Help chapter entitled "Security Functions Maintenance".)

When this new operator enters a History item, ManStat will automatically enter the default access and modification security functions.  To set the default security function required to access a History item entered by this operator, select the required security function from the drop down list attached to the Default Access Function field.

To set the default security function required to modify a History item entered by this operator, select the required security function from the drop down list attached to the Default Modify Function field.

Below these fields are the Security Groups Included field and the Security Groups Available field.  These fields allow you to define the access this operator will have within ManStat.

The security functions available within ManStat are grouped together into security groups for ease of management.  By selecting a particular security group for this operator, you will grant this operator access to all the individual security functions included in that security group.  (For more information on security groups, please refer to the Help chapter entitled "Security Groups Maintenance".)

The Security Groups Included field lists all the security groups to which this operator currently has access.  The Security Groups Available field lists all the security groups that can still be granted to this operator.  To grant this operator access to a particular security group, simply click on the relevant group and then click on the <Copy   button located between these two fields.  This will move the relevant security group from the Available field to the Included field (and the operator will now have access to this new security group.  To grant access to all available security groups, simply click on the <<All   button located between these two fields.

Similarly, access to a particular security group can be taken away from this operator by simply clicking on the relevant group listed in the Included field, and then clicking on the Delete>   button located between the two fields.  All security groups listed in the Included field can be moved to the Available field by simply clicking on the Del All>>   button located between these two fields.  Once you have completed all the fields in the Add Operator   screen for this new operator, simply click on the OK   button located at the bottom of this screen.  If you do not wish to continue with the creation of this operator, simply click on the Cancel   button located at the bottom of this screen.
